The Summer of 2013 marked the one-year anniversary of our daughter Lisa's being clear from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, so the Migs-Haynes' clan decided to celebrate with our first-ever full-family trip.

We chose to spend a week in Vancouver, British Columbia because it featured a wide-range of indoor and outdoor activities for each of our tastes.

After almost twelve hours' flight from Miami to Houston to Vancouver, we finally settled into the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown hotel. This lodging was adjacent to BC Place - a huge and photogenic multipurpose stadium built in 2010 for the Winter Olympics and the host site for the 2015 FIFA Womens' Championship
match.

We spent the next six days exploring Vancouver city from morning into the night. The weather was sunny; temperatures were moderate and a welcome diversion from Miami's heat and humidity. We took advantage of Vancouver's excellent mass transit system to get everywhere we needed to.

This gallery of photographs chronicles that wonderful experience.
