Heavy rains flood the back garden (January 2024)
The water table in the original (not used now) well would normally be about 4-5 feet from the cap. Two weeks after this rain event, the level was less than one foot from the cap.
The water table remained so high for weeks that we had to postpone some planting in the backyard until the soil dried out a bit.
