Upper Poplar and North Gate beds (April 2023)
This space was thick with invasive Liriope and Vinca that had grown through and over fiber ground cloth and thick mulch that had been installed by a previous owner. It was tedious to remove the mulch and cloth but it had to be done in order to prep the bed for future health.
Heavy layers of oak leaves, composted mulch, and wood chips contribute to the rich soil now supporting natives.
