Beach resort life was very new to me, so to keep my eyes fresh, I gave myself the assignment to photograph footprints on the soft golden sand. I walked the beach three times each day - after breakfast, at midday, and in the late afternoon - in order to see how the light played on the sand. Since this experience, I'm now paying attention to the marks animals leave on any beach I visit.
Sadly, I have never seen so much trash (mostly plastic bottles and plastic drinking cups) on a beach anywhere in the Americas as here. The only trash cans were at the boundary of each resort's pool and beach areas but there were none on the beach itself.
