My family has taken three Summer vacations in North Carolina to visit friends and family as well as experience its natural areas and culture.

Some photographs in this gallery were shot on Fujifilm, scanned, and digitally processed. Film images were made in Asheville at the Asheville Botanic Garden, and Farmers' Market; in Black Mountain; in Boone's Hill; at Mt. Mitchell State Park; Sliding Rock; Linville Caverns; Craggy Rock; and in Chimney Rock Park.

The digital images were made in Waynesville, at Looking Glass Falls, Hot Springs, Pigeon River, Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, Mingo Falls, Second Falls at Graveyard Fields, along the Blue Ridge Parkway, at Raven's Rock State Park, in the Woodlake area around Lake Surf, and on SR215 between Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
